Governance process

Governance Methods

A governance method describes a controlled way to conduct an assessment or calculation. Methods must remain reviewable and versioned so material changes are not hidden.

Published record

0 methods

Only approved, active, or retired versions are counted publicly. Draft work is not presented as an adopted method.

Lifecycle

Draft → review → approval → use → retirement

A method moves through explicit states. Approved versions are locked, and later changes require a successor version rather than a silent rewrite.

Stewardship boundary

A method cannot override the eight tests

No formula, score, rank, popularity measure, or technical method can convert a No or incomplete Stewardship Test into a Yes.

How the Foundation governs this work

Transparency supports Truth, individual dignity, accountability, correction, and the Openness Test. Technical safeguards assist that responsibility; they do not replace human judgment or the eight-test gate.
